James Rodriguez flies home to get English visa as he seeks Madrid exit

Reports in Colombia say the midfielder is looking for ways out and the Premier League could be his next stop

James Rodriguez is once again the centre of attention in the Colombian press. Following his controversial comments after Real Madrid won the Club World Cup, the midfielder is notice for his stay in Colombia during the Christmas break. According to some Colombian media, he’s travelled home to spend time with his family. 

However, that’s not the news. The news is that he’s reportedly been to the embassy in Bogota to process a visa for England, news which accelerates reports James could leave Madrid in January for the Premier League. The reports coincide with the stories James will leave the club. He even hinted as much after the Club World Cup, drawing criticism from Sergio Ramos

James seems to be looking for a move to England due to a lack of minutes at Madrid. Despite showing enthusiasm to continue at the Bernabeu, the decision may be taken, and he may be ready to leave the club this winter in search of regular football.
