Isco fed up with Zidane, caught complaining on Real Madrid bench
"If he has to bring me on, it's in the 80th minute," he moaned
Isco's situation at Real Madrid is not as he would like. He's playing less and less all the team and is frustrated, even if he's not said so publicly.
However, he did say it in a conversation picked up by El Partidazo de Movistar's cameras during Saturday's Clasico win over Barcelona. Isco was talking about how Zidane manages his minutes.
"If he has to take me off, it's in the 50th or 60th minute of the game. Sometimes at half time," he says. "If he has to bring me on, it’s in the 80th minute,” he adds amid laughter with Luka Modric.
Isco has only started two games this season and has made four appearances. It's more common these days to see him on the bench than the pitch and he wasn't in Luis Enrique's most recent Spain squad.
Zidane and Luis Enrique are both backing other players at the moment and it remains to be seen what role Isco will have for Los Blancos this season.
He has passed through similar situations since he joined Madrid and often fights back.
