Important absences at Real Madrid ahead of Eibar clash

Madrid trained on Friday morning at Valdebebas and were missing a couple of key players

In Real Madrid’s training session ahead of their clash with Eibar, there were big absences. Captain Sergio Ramos and midfielder Luka Modric. Two players who seem set to miss the game along with Fabio Coentrao, who has not yet recovered from his injury, despite being included in the latest Champions League squad.

Ramos may miss the game as part of the coach’s rotations, along with Modric. Alvaro Morata, however, has recovered from the knock he suffered against Borussia Dortmund and is at Zidane’s disposition for the game at 4.15pm CET at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

Without Ramos in the starting XI, Pepe is set to play alongside Raphael Varane. Modric’s possible absence should give Isco a starting spot, who is waiting for an opportunity to make it into Zidane’s team. Madrid are aiming to break their bad run of draws against Eibar.
