Guti: If Florentino offered me the Real Madrid job I would say yes
The U19 coach would like to land the first team job one day
But he doesn't think now is the time to get rid of Zidane
Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti is keen to manage the club one day if Florentino Perez gives him the call -- he is currently coaching the club's U19 side.
"How would I not want to coach Real Madrid someday?" he told Marca. "If Florentino offered me the first team I would say yes, I am ready."
However, Guti is not an advocate of pushing Zinedine Zidane out the door. The French coach is under pressure with Madrid fourth in La Liga and out of the Copa del Rey.
They could still save the season with more Champions League success, though. They host Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie on Wednesday.
"This is Madrid's last bullet [for this season], but I hope this is not Zidane's final [year]," Guti added in reference to the Champions League. "We must not forget what he has done. Zidane must continue."
