Gareth Bale: Curry plays golf the same day of a game
The Welshman rejected criticism of his hobby
Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has been frequently questioned about his injury history. His passion for golf, which on occasion has been linked to these injuries by some, is sometimes used against him.
However Bale hit back on Erik Anders Lang's golf podcast. "Many people have problems with me playing golf, I don't know why. I've spoken about it a lot, but especially in the media there's the perception that I should be resting, that it can generate injuries.
"In America for example, Stephen Curry plays the same day as a game. Here if I play two days before a game they say 'but what is he doing?'".
