Gareth Bale is a serious doubt to face Rayo Vallecano, his preferred La Liga victims. The Welshman has always beaten them and scored nine goals in six matches. However he sustained an ankle injury against CSKA Moscow and will likely not make the game.
After not training on Friday, Bale is likely to be left out of Santiago Solari's squad ahead of the Club World Cup starting on Wednesday.
He has scored more goals against Rayo than anyone, ahead of Deportivo La Coruna (8) and Real Sociedad (6).
Mariano was also absent in training and is likely to be replaced by Castilla forward Cristo.
