Perez says the title is not the end, but an incentive to win more trophies

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has underlined Zinedine Zidane's role in Los Blancos' first title success since 2012. 

Speaking at a reception at the Madrid City Hall with mayor Manuela Carmena, Perez said: "Zidane has been the best player in the world and now hes the best manager in the world."

Perez also highlighted Madrid's values: "Resolve, talent, humility and respect towards our rivals." 

He added: "We are proud to win this league together and united. Madrid have demonstrated persistence, talent, hard work on a daily basis and the spirit to overcome obstacles. 

"The Spanish league is the most difficult and competitive of all leagues and for the reason these great players form part of the club's history. 

"We have demonstrated that we are the team that plays the best in Spain. The titles are not a finishing point, but a new incentive for new challenges." 

Mayor Carmena shared out among the players a small chocolate medal of Cibeles, while the players gave her a signed shirt.
