Lopetegui's time is up after Madrid were hammered by Barcelona

Julen Lopetegui will take charge of his final Real Madrid training session on Monday morning as Florentino Perez plans to sack him after a board meeting which takes place later in the day, around 19.00h.

After being hammered at Barcelona (5-1), Lopetegui will be replaced by Italian coach Antonio Conte, who has previously managed Chelsea, Juventus and the Italian national team.

The plan is for Conte to take over as soon as possible, but it's unlikely everything will be in place from him to be in charge for Wednesday's Copa del Rey game at Melilla -- so Castilla coach Solari is likely oversee that fixture.

If Lopetegui was already a "sporting corpse" before Barca-Madrid, after the Clasico it was clear that his time at the Santiago Bernabeu was up. Marca say he even said goodbye to the players in the dressing room at full-time.

Conte could be in charge for Saturday's game against Real Valladolid. According to AS, he will break off a holiday in Egypt to travel to Madrid immediately.
