Erling Haaland needs to sign for Madrid this summer and 'not in 2023'
The Norwegian hitman is the hottest name on the transfer market going forward
Real Madrid are hoping to sign Erling Haaland, although the idea of leaving him in Borussia Dortmund until 2023, when Karim Benzema’s deal ends, has not been liked by the forward’s camp.
Kylian Mbappe is set to join Benzema and Vinicius Junior in the summer, while Madrid also have Asensio, Rodrygo, Hazard and Jovic.
“Stop the stories about a deal in 2023,” wrote Jan Aage Fjortoft on twitter. The former Norwegian footballer is close to Haaland’s father Alfie.
“Haaland is not a second-hand car that you can park somewhere until you need it. Erling is a Bugatti that you use now!”
Hans-Joachim Watzke, the Dortmund chief, said that the forward’s future would be resolved in a question of weeks.
