The club's director of institutional relations spoke after the 3-0 defeat by CSKA

Real Madrid director of institutional relations, Emilio Butragueño, said he hadn't seen Isco square off with his own fans and defended the Spanish playmaker after the 3-0 defeat by CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.

"I didn't see the gesture, I thought he was claiming a corner. Saying that it's very important that we are united. All we want to achieve is with the fans, the players and the club. Whistling a player weakens us and helps them and above all when in an adverse situation," he told Movistar.

"The result is tough, we aren't used to losing, less so at home and less so in the Champions League. It's a tough result. They have had three or four chances, we didn't deserve such a tough scoreline. It's a hard result to take. But the players must be supported."
