The Belgian international will be out for between two to three months

Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard had a successful operation on his fractured ankle in Dallas on Thursday. The forward suffered the injury on February 22 in the 1-0 defeat by Levante. Hazard was operated on by doctor Eugene Curry at the Carrell Clinic and is set to miss between two and three months. There's a chance he could feature again at the end of the season.

Madrid published a statement saying: "Eden Hazard has successfully undergone surgery today in Dallas on a fracture in the fibula of his right foot. The operation was supervised by Real Madrid Medical Services. Hazard will now remain under observation until he gets the all clear to begin his rehabilitation process."

Hazard travelled with his father and the head of Madrid's medical department Niko Mihic. Hazard had gone to watch the Dallas Mavericks against the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA the night before.
