The Madrid right-back would choose Neymar over Griezmann

Dani Carvajal says he would sign Neymar for Real Madrid ahead of Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann if he was given the choice.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been constantly linked with a move to Madrid since leaving Barcelona last summer.

Florentino Perez has hinted he wants to sign the Brazil forward -- he's tried and failed before -- and the Madrid media have reported he could cost as much as €400 million.

Speaking to Onda Cero's El Transistor, Carvajal was asked if would prefer Neymar of Griezmann.

"As I have had to suffer him before, I would sign Neymar," the Spain international said.

Speaking to COPE, Carvajal's teammate Casemiro said he didn't expect Neymar to join him in Madrid but added that he would like it to happen.

"I believe he will not [join Madrid]," the midfielder said. "You would have to ask Florentino if there is a possibility or not.

"But he is happy in Paris, there are many Brazilians playing with him, too. He likes it there. With Neymar's quality, he could play for any team in the world.

"But I will not talk for him -- he knows that Madrid's doors are always open. I would sign him for sure. He would get on very well with Cristiano, they are both very relaxed characters. I hope he comes this year."

Neymar is currently in Brazil recovering from a broken bone in his foot which is likely to rule him out for the rest of the season.

However, he should be fit for the World Cup in Russia this summer.

PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Antero Henrique visited Neymar in his homeland this week in an attempt to cool speculation about his future.
