Cristiano Ronaldo's incredible open goal miss against Club America

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his Ballon d'Or with his 500th club goal against Club America in the Club World Cup semi-final, but he suffered an embarassing moment before that.

He headed the ball away from goal when all he had to do was nod it into an empty net, spuring a chance in the 66th minute. Dani Carvajal crossed the ball in and with the goalkeeper in no-man's land, it landed on Ronaldo's head. Unfortunately for the man who is officially the best player in the world, he spewed his header well off target. 

It was a bizarre miss for a player who normally finishes clinically from just a couple of yards out.
