Courtois: I said we deserved the league and in Catalonia they laughed
The Real Madrid goalkeeper hit back at Barca and their fans after winning the title
Thibaut Courtois wanted it. He won La Liga with Real Madrid then quickly took shots at Barca.
"Coming back from confinement to win 10 games.... I trusted my team in that we could win... Catalonia told me to shut up and my team has shown what we have done," said Courtois.
He was referring to his comments saying Madrid deserved to win the league during the lockdown, even though Barca were ahead by two points.
"At 2-0 we were good, we had a bit of a lack of concentration, they pushed until the last minute, I made a double save."
