Chelsea 0-2 Real Madrid: Rodrygo goals seal Champions League semifinal

Madrid will meet either Bayern Munich or Manchester City in the last four

Real Madrid are into an 11th Champions League semifinal in 13 years after beating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Rodrygo Goes scored both the goals as Madrid booked their place in the last four with a 4-0 aggregate win following their victory in Spain last week.

They will meet the winners of Manchester City's tie against Bayern Munich for a place final. City have a 3-0 lead from the first leg going into Wednesday's return game.

Chasing the game, Chelsea played well in the first half against the European champions but did not take their chances.

N'Golo Kante, playing in an attacking role, missed a great opportunity and Marc Cucurella was denied by Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea were always likely to pay for their wastefulness in the final third -- a problem that has plagued their season -- and that proved true.

Rodrygo scored two goals from close range, the second after great work from Fede Valverde, to book Madrid's place in another semifinal.

In the other side of the draw, Milan beat Napoli to set up a potential semifinal derby against Inter, who lead Benfica ahead of Wednesday's second leg.
