Real Madrid president Florentino Perez vetoed the signing of Paul Pogba, Manchester United midfielder, and tried to kick out Sergio Ramos last summer, claim the Daily Star.

The information comes from journalist Duncan Castles (who some have accused of being a mouthpiece for Jose Mourinho).

"Florentino Perez did all he could to block Paul Pogba's transfer and tried to force Sergio Ramos out of the club before his dressing room power eventually got him a new deal - both moves were motivated by a possible return for Jose Mourinho and the acknowledgement he didn't get on with either player," said Castles on a Reach PLC podcast.
