Benzema is under the spotlight for his bad goalscoring form
Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is still on a worrying goalscoring run - he has just five in La Liga all season long, with six games to go. An unthinkable tally for a forward of his level, and it has called into question his continuity at Real Madrid.
In fact Benzema has scored so few goals that with defensive midfielder Casemiro's strike against Malaga, he has levelled his team-mate in the top scorers chart. Benzema seems to be in a tunnel and is finding it hard to get out.
Casemiro scored the second for Madrid in a 2-1 win over Malaga - and also netted against Depor, Las Palmas and Leganes, goals which on some occasions have been decisive.
