Braga 1-2 Real Madrid: Los Blancos back to winning ways before clásico

Rodrygo and Bellingham got the goals in the Champions League victory

Real Madrid did their homework before the clásico, beating Braga 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday and getting back to winning ways after the draw against Sevilla at the Sánchez-Pizjuán (1-1).

Los Blancos won for the third consecutive time in this season's Champions League group stage. All of them by the narrowest of margins: against Union Berlin (1-0), against Napoli (2-3) and now against Braga (1-2).

Madrid top the group with nine points, Napoli have six points, Braga have three and Union are yet to get off the mark.

Rodrygo opened the scoring in the first half, Jude Bellingham scored the second after the break and Álvaro Djaló pulled one back for the Portuguese side, but to no avail.

"We had to suffer more than expected in the end but it's normal to suffer away from home, especially in the Champions League," Vinicius, who set up both goals, told Movistar Plus.

"The important thing is that we won. We played well, although it's true that we could have scored more goals. The summary is that we won all three group games so far. Let's keep this run going."

Madrid can now turn their attention to Saturday's game against Barcelona at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic.

Carlo Ancelotti's side go into the match sitting top of LaLiga, level on 25 points with Girona, but Barça are just one point behind them.
