The Real Madrid forward was injured while on international duty

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale will miss this weekend's trip to Mallorca in La Liga and is unlikely to have recovered in time for the Champions League game against Galatasaray, according to EFE, who cite club sources.

Bale returned to Madrid following Wales duty earlier this week and underwent tests after ending his country's 1-1 draw with Croatia on Sunday injured.

The Welsh international still has pain in his calf and has been unable to train with his teammates. He's ruled out for the return to league action this weekend and a major doubt for next week's key Champions League game in Turkey.

Zinedine Zidane's side have lost one and drawn one of the opening two games in Europe, so need to beat Galatasaray to get back on track.

Following that game, in theory, is a trip to Camp Nou for the Clasico against Barcelona. However, that fixture is currently a doubt due to the political unrest in the Catalan city at the moment.
