Inter Milan have not forgotten about Luka Modric. Far from it. The Italian club tried to lure him last summer and the Croatian wondered if it was time to end his era at Real Madrid. Zinedien Zidane's return and his desire to continue ended that and he earned an extra year on his contract with the Ballon d'Or win. His deal expires now in 2021.
Inter will push for Modric again at the petition of coach Antonio Conte. He's more accessible than last season, especially if the player is willing to move after eight years of brilliant service to Real Madrid.
Modric will turn 35 in September and be a free agent in January 2021. Madrid will listen to Inter in the summer, not now in the wintr window. Zidane will have reinforcements like Van de Beek and Martin Odegaard, while other options like Pogba or Oscar Rodriguez may also be on the table.
