New Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to strengthen his squad and according to TuttoSport he will turn to Real Madrid to help him do it.

Ancelotti knows Madrid well having spent time there as coach and also has a good relationship with Zinedine Zidane, who was his assistant at the time.

The Italian coach could now be set to ask his former understudy for a favour: right-back Achraf Hakimi and striker Borja Mayoral.

Achraf, 19, played 17 games this season (1,315 minutes, two goals and one assist), while Mayoral featured in 24 matches (927 minutes, seven goals and three assists).

However, they need to play regular football to continue improving, something which may not be possible at Madrid, which is where Ancelotti's interest stems from.

Napoli finished second in Seris A, four points back from Juventus and will be in the Champions League again next season.

Achraf sees a future at Madrid but is aware that at the moment Dani Carvajal and Nacho Fernandez limit his options of playing regularly at right-back.

As for Mayoral, his chances are even more reduced, keeping in mind the player currently ahead of him (Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez) and those that could arrive (Mbappé, Neymar...). For that reason, he's likely to leave on loan.
