Carlo Ancelotti will be the new Napoli coach and replace Maurizio Sarri, who is heading to Chelsea it seems. Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis had a meeting with Ancelotti on Tuesday to try and reach a deal and in Italy they say it will soon be official.
The meeting lasted less than three hours. Ancelotti has an offer of a two year contract with an additional year optional, and a salary of 6.5 million euros per season. The coach has already chosen four assistants to accompany him on the bench.
The first negotiations started a while ago, but with Sarri's future unknown things moved slowly. However his exit will leave 8m euros in the club account to pay Ancelotti's high salary.
