Ancelotti responds to Super Deporte cover about Vinicius Jr

Carlo Ancelotti did not want to miss the opportunity to defend Vinicius ahead of the match against Osasuna, as 'Superdeporte' this morning featured the Brazilian on its front page, criticising him (ironically) after the statement he made in court on Thursday for the racist insults that were uttered at the Mestalla stadium on 21 May.

"I think it's a misdirection. Vinicius is a victim and the media who want to deflect the shot make me feel sorry and angry," criticised Ancelotti. The Italian coach wanted to condemn the situation that took place on that day regardless of "whether it was one, two, a thousand or ten thousand".

The controversial front page comes after he declared that, in last season's match, he heard insults, although in this case he did not want to generalise his complaint to all the Valencianista fans who were present in the stadium.

As of today, the people under investigation are three young men aged between 18 and 21, who have been banned for life by Valencia, as they are accused of a hate crime.
