Paris Saint-Germain omit Mbappé from preseason tour as standoff goes on

On the same day that Paris Saint-Germain beat Le Havre with a goal from Kylian Mbappé in the first friendly of their preparations for the new season, the Parisian club gave their star player a shock by leaving him out of the Asian pre-season tour.

Luis Enrique, who made a winning debut as coach, left Mbappé out of the squad for the games against Al Nassr, Cerezo Osaka, Inter and Jeonbuk.

The situation between the player and the club has become increasingly tense. The 'ultimatum' that the French press is talking about for his renewal offer is due to expire on 31 July this month.

If he does not extend his contract -- which runs until the summer of 2024 -- he would be 'deleted' from the season unless an offer comes in that convinces them, with Real Madrid lurking and e possibility of him joining them for free next year.

The relationship Mbappé-PSG seems to be broken completely.

In the squad, Luis Enrique will take everyone else, so it's not an injury that keeps Mbappé out. He has called up Neymar -- who has been recovering from an injury -- Kang-In Lee -- got a knockagainst Le Havre -- and Donnarumma, who faced a burglary at home that left him with minor injuries.
