The Brazilian says Messi and his family will be well off at his new club in Miami

It is no secret that Lionel Messi's time in Paris did not go the way he wanted it to. The Argentine star did not quite adapt to his new team in the two years he spent in France despite being surrounded by great players in the Parisian city.

Messi's time in Paris has now been discussed by his friend and former teammate Neymar. The Brazilian forward gave an interview in which he acknowledged that they were difficult years together.

Neymar explained the reasons for Messi's departure in a YouTube interview with journalist Casimiro Miguel: "He has won everything. His family was very affected in the last two years at PSG. I understand him and he is going to a place where he will be well received. He will live a completely different life and his family will feel good in Miami. It was a good choice. They were difficult years together [in Paris]."

Neymar did not hide his disappointment at not being able to win the Champions League, the main objective of the Parisian project: "Real Madrid's galacticos didn't win the Champions League. We had a strong team. Messi, Mbappé and I are the best in the world, we know that, but unfortunately it didn't happen."
