The Colombian international has left Everton but could remain in England

Yerri Mina's time at Everton has come to an end. The Colombian centre-back will leave Goodison Park this summer after completing his contract with the 'Toffees', and his next destination is again in the Premier League. According to 'The Sun', Fulham are working on signing him as a free agent.

The 28-year-old defender is leaving Everton after five years at the club. He arrived in 2018 from FC Barcelona, who made €30m for his transfer (they had paid Palmeiras €11m for his signature just a season earlier).

Lack of minutes

However, Mina hardly featured this season for Everton, partly because of injuries that kept him out of action. It has been a common trend: since the 20/21 season, when he played 29 games, he has been on the decline. Last season he only made 14 appearances. This season he only made 8 appearances in all competitions.

The player himself dedicated a few words of affection to the 'Toffees' fans at the end of the season. He wrote: "It has been an honour to have belonged to Everton. I would like to say goodbye to you all and thank you."

Fulham

At Craven Cottage, Mina could find the ideal place to play the football he has left in him. Although he is an error-prone centre-back, his great aerial ability and assuredness in the box give him a certain cachet in the league.

Fulham could also be losing Tosin Adarabioyo, who, according to reports from England, appears to be heading to Tottenham. The 25-year-old centre-back is one of the most coveted defensive gems in the Premier League. And he only has one year left on his contract.
