Pep Guardiola: Madrid wouldn't hire a coach like me and I wouldn't go

Pep Guardiola has ruled out the idea he could manage at Real Madrid. After information which said the coach was contacted by the club last season, Pep was clear and said he would not join them. 

"I am a fan of Barcelona. Madrid would not hire a coach like me and neither would I go," said Guardiola.

Writer and journalist Marti Perarnau, author of two books about Pep, said on Cadena SER radio that the Catalan coach ahd recieved a call asking if he would sign for Madrid, after the sacked Rafa Benitez last season.

"Madrid made contact with Orobitg, the agent of Guardiola, to try and sign him. From the first moment he ruled it out," said Perarnau on the radio.

Pep was speaking ahead of his current team, Manchester City heading to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
