The Ivory Coast star is a free agent after his contract expired at Manchester City but he won't be joining West Ham

West Ham's manager, Manuel Pellegrini, has poured cold water on the rumours linking him with a move for free agent Yaya Toure. The Ivory Coast international's contract at Manchester City expired this summer but Pellegrini has told 'The Sun' his squad is already complete.

The 35-year-old, who spent eight seasons at City, is available for nothing and in the last few days has been linked with a move to West Ham. "He's a good player, and always will be, but not for us. Our squad is closed."

West Ham started their Premier League campaign with a heavy away defeat to Liverpool but Pellegrini is backing his team to come good. The club has invested over £100m to improve their squad and twice broke their transfer record this summer. The first time was when they spent £22m on Issa Diop and later when they handed Lazio £44m for Felipe Anderson.

Yaya Toure wants to continue playing football but he won't be joining West Ham.
