Mohamed Salah signs new five-year deal with Liverpool
The Egypt forward has drawn interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, who has been linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs, has extended his contract at Anfield, the Premier League club confirmed on Monday.
Salah has signed a new five-year deal but in England there is no requirement for a release clause to be included in the terms.
Therefore, Salah has been compensated for his incredible debut season at the club, which saw him lead Liverpool to the Champions League final and end the campaign at the Premier League's top scorer.
Salah's new deal commits him to the English club until 2023 and his new deal places him above the likes of Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk in terms of play.

Jugen Klopp, the Liverpool coach, was one of the first to react to the news of Salah's renewal.
The German said: "To be able to count on someone who has contributed so much to the team in the last year is very important. It demonstrates that he has faith in us and we have faith in him."
