United have beaten Chelsea to the signing of the Belgian forward
Chelsea will now turn their attention back to Madrid's Alvaro Morata
Romelu Lukaku has undergone a medical in Los Angeles ahead of his 85 million euro move to Manchester United. The Belgian forward is currently in America enjoying the final days of his time off and on Sunday he's expected to join his new club for their pre-seson tour.
According to The Sun, Lukaku's signing for United is imminent after the player had medical tests in the LA ahead of completing his move from Everton to Old Trafford. He arrives as a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with Wayne Rooney also likely to leave the club.
United have beaten Chelsea to the signing of the striker, with the London club instead set to turn their attention back to Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.
The English press also report that with the signing of Lukaku, United will now end their own interest in Morata having previously missed out on Antoine Griezmann earlier this summer.
Man Utd will take part in the International Champions Cup which begins on July 19 in the United States. While there they will play Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, and Jose Mourinho will have Lukaku available for those matches.
