The Tottenham forward has started this season in fine form, scoring three goals

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Paris Saint-Germain president, may be pulling out his hair after seeing a player he sold named as the Player of the Month in the Premier League for August: Lucas Moura. The Tottenham forward's started the season in fine form and was given the award on Friday.

The Brazilian, who seems to have been around forever but is still only 26, has been the standout player in England since the new campaign kicked off. He has scored three goals in four games, including a brace in a 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Lucas has taken his time to adapt to Mauricio Pochettino's set up since signing in January but now seems to be finding his place in the side. The Argentine coach is beginning to get the best out of the player, who is quick, has good technique and scores goals.

Former Espanyol coach Pochettino is getting performances out of him which Unai Emery, when in charge of PSG, could not manage.

"I’m so happy because I know it’s not easy to win this trophy and August was a great month for me and also for the team," Lucas saud. "I share this with my team mates and with my family and I’ll keep working because this is only the beginning. We have a lot more in front of us and so I need to keep working and doing my best."
