Guardiola opens the door for Kolarov to leave

Manchester City will not stop Aleksandar Kolarov leaving the club and signing for Roma. Guardiola did not pick him for the friendly against Manchester United and confirmed that he won’t keep him against his will.
“I don't like to work with people who don't want to stay", Guardiola said. "He had a big chance to go to Roma and he spoke to me, the club and asked me to leave.”
Kolarov has made 247 appearances for Manchester City since arriving from Roma’s fierce rivals Lazio but wants to leave the club as Guardiola looks to redesign the team’s defence. Kyle Walker – the most expensive defender in history – has already arrived, and Danilo and Mendy could soon join them if City can reach deals for the players.
