Already relegated Huddersfield did not put up much of a fighting, falling behind after just 14 seconds when Salah teed up Keita. Salah went on to score two of his own, with Mane also bagging a brace at Jurgen Klopp's side moved back to the top of the table.

Manchester City can return to the lead if they beat Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday with the Premier League title race set to go to the wire.

City have the advantage of only having to focus on the league after being knocked out of Europe, but Liverpool now have to switch their attention to Barça. They travel to Catalonia next week for the first leg of their Champions League semifinal tie against Ernesto Valverde's side.

Valverde won't have needed the warning but Friday was another example of Liverpool's power in attack -- even without the injured Firmino. Mane scored two headers, while Salah scored a delicate lob and a second from close range. Full-backs Robertson and Alexander-Arnold were once again impressive. The former set up two goals and the latter one.

The win means Liverpool remain on track for 97 points this season if they win out. Unfortunately for them, if City win all their games, they will hit 98 points.
