Everton show interest in Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilón

The Premier League side have offered around 18 million euros for the defender

Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilón is the subject of a 20 million euro bid from Premier League side Everton, according to Sky Sport.

Everton coach Carlo Ancelotti is keen to add the defender to his squad following a season on loan at Sevilla under the orders of Julen Lopetegui.

Reguilón, a product of Madrid's academy, is attracting a lot of interest this summer, with a number of other clubs also keen on the youngster.

Madrid are open to selling him and generating some money, as they did by selling right-back Achraf to Inter Milan, but Sevilla are unlikely to make an offer to sign him permanently.

Instead, they will take a back seat and see what happens. They would prefer to negotiate another loan deal, with Reguilón happy in the south of Spain but admitting you "never know" what could happen in the future.

Everton are well covered at left-back in the form of former Barcelona man Lucas Digne, although he has been linked with bigger clubs, while backup option Leighton Baines has just retired.
