Manchester United goalkeeeper David de Gea has opened negotiations with the club over a new deal, with his current contract set to expire in June 2019.
According to The Independent, De Gea will meet in the next few weeks with United directors who are aware he wants to stay and is not planning to move to Real Madrid, as seemed likely a while ago. He likes playing in Manchester so is willing to extend his c urrent deal.
De Gea is also loved by United coach Jose Mourinho, who wants him to stay.
