Ander Herrera, accused of spitting on the Man City badge
The Spanish midfielder is accused of making an ugly gesture during the derby
On Saturday Manchester City hosted Man United with the aim of beating them to win the Premier League. Mourinho's side came from behind to beat City 3-2, dumping Pep Guardiola's side on the floor. After the game controversy took over, with Ander Herrera accused of spitting on the Man City badge on the way to the dressing room.
A video is doing the rounds in which he walks towards the tunnel at half-time and spits on the club's badge which is stamped on the floor.
Man City believe this action was "disrespectful" and "immature" while Man United defended the player saying that he didn't realise the badge was there. A United spokesperson said:
"Ander has seen footage of the incident and is mortified at any suggestion his actions were deliberate. It was entirely accidental and there was no intent whatsoever."
