Pique sparks controversy as social media suggest he cut Spain shirt sleeves
People are suggesting the defender cut off La Roja's colours for Sunday's World Cup qualifier
Gerard Pique’s once again in the middle of a storm regarding his Spain career. Social media was awash with comments on Sunday suggesting he cut the Spanish colours off his sleeve during the 2-0 win over Albania.
There are those that speculate that Pique cut the sleeves to deliberately get rid of the red and yellow, but there’s no sign of them being cut. Pique was previously accused of putting up his middle finger during the national anthem at Euro 2016.
However, it also appears Sergio Ramos’ shirt did not carry the Spain colours on the sleeve, either, unlike the rest of the player. So there could be a simple explanation. However, that hasn’t stopped people getting angry with Barcelona defender Pique:
