Paul Pogba also spoke about potential opponents for France in the next round and said they'd rather face Argentina than Croatia

France and Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, surprised onlookers when he said this World Cup might be his last. It's worth remembering that Pogba would only be 29 by the time Qatar 2022 rolls around. "I'm realistic about the fact this could be my last World Cup. You never know what could happen the day of tomorrow. I could get injured or better players are selected. I hope to play at more World Cups but there are some players who never get to play at this tournament," added the midfielder.

Pogba also had some words for his compatriot Antoine Griezmann. "He's really good, happy, fighting for the team. It's true that he didn't score in the last match but that doesn't mean anything. You'll see how he improves every day."

There was also a question on Kylian Mbappe, who scored against Peru to become the youngest Frence player to score at a World Cup. "He's a youngster with talent, the whole world knows this. We think he can score one or two goals per game but he's still in the developing phase."

When asked about a possible opponent for the Round of 16 matches, Pogba said he'd prefer to face Argentina as "the most in form side in Group D is Croatia and they were able to beat Argentina," concluded the Frenchman.
