The president of the AFA spoke to La Nacion about the summer's World Cup bid

Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA, spoke to Argentine media outlet La Nacion about the Russia World Cup.

The Argentine spoke about Barca star Leo Messi. "Football has evened itself out, we have the best player in the world but we have to help him, he cannot to do it alone," said Tapia.

Just like with Barca, Messi needs a good team behind him too. "He's very mature and to have him is a privilege," added Tapia. "He's No 1, he has the ambition and the need to win this World Cup.

"We're the only team that has had three coaches and reached the World Cup. The other teams have have had work that has been going on over four years. He said it would not be a "failure" if Argentina did not reach the semis, and a "good World Cup" if they do.
