FC Barcelona players Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano arrived very early on Monday morning in Moscow to join the Argentina national team. The two players were accompanied by heavy security as well as Barcelona's player liason officer Pepe Costa.
In Sunday in Russia there were various bomb threats, perhaps leading to additional security in the Russian capital. They left for Moscow in a private jet on Sunday night, taking a minibus from the airport to the hotel along with other Argentina staff members who arrived at the same time.
