Manchester United offer 80 million euros for Atletico's Marcos Llorente
The midfielder has improved tremendously over the last year under Diego Simeone's guidance
Manchester are willing to make an offer worth 80 million euros for Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente, according to AS, and have already made contact with the Spanish club over a deal.
Atletico have no intention of selling Llorente but the size of the bid has forced them to study the offer. The coronavirus pandemic has hit many clubs hard and a proposal nearing 100 million euros will at least be considered by most teams.
Llorente isn't angling for a move away, either. He's found his best form at the Wanda Metropolitano and is currently enjoying one the best moments of form of his career to date.
On a personal level, he's having a new house built in Madrid and isn't planning on leaving the city.
On a sporting level, he's completely committed to Atletico and, despite the interest from United and other clubs in the past, such as Paris Saint-Germain, his desire is to stay put.
United would double the salary he picks up at Atletico and have previously shown an interest in him.
