The Celta Vigo midfielder is wanted by some of Europe's biggest clubs

Luis Enrique is already at work at Paris Saint-Germain after taking the job at the French champions. The former Barcelona coach has the difficult challenge of leading the Parisian team to win a Champions League title and to do so, in Paris they are aware that they must sign.

After the signings of Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte, Skriniar, Ndour, Lucas Hernandez and Kang In Lee, the Spanish coach has his eye on the signing of a midfielder to raise the level of the squad. The former Spain boss believes that many of the side's problems lie in the engine room and he wants to remedy that.

That is why, according to Footmercato, PSG are reportedly ahead of the other 'big' teams in Europe for the signing of Celta Vigo's Gabri Veiga. According to the information, negotiations with the player are at an advanced stage and there is even a date for his medical.

This would put an end to one of the most talked-about deals in the market. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich were all vying for the midfielder, but in the end it is PSG who would be the ones to win the deal for the €40 million his clause is fixed at.

The 20-year-old has been in the spotlight this season with 11 goals and four assists in his first season in Celta's first team. In addition, he was the architect of the salvation of the Vigo team with two goals on the final day against Barça.

Now, he could have reached a definitive agreement with PSG to join Luis Enrique to achieve the first Champions League for the Parisians.
