The Athletic Club goalkeeper will fly to London tomorrow in order to sign his contract after depositing his buyout clause with LaLiga

Athletic Club's goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, has arrived in Madrid this afternoon as he hopes to secure his move to Chelsea. According to EFE, if an agreement is reached he'll then fly out to London tomorrow to sign for the Blues.

Kepa's buyout clause stands at €80m. This is significantly higher than it was last January when Real Madrid were interested in the young Spanish stopper. Kepa signed a new contract instead which included a hefty rise in his buyout clause.

Athletic increased his clause from €20m to €80m after Zinedine Zidane turned down the chance to sign him. The transfer market closes on the 9th August for Premier League teams and this means everyone is rushing to get deals over the line. This should see Thibaut Courtois leave Chelsea and sign for Real Madrid and Kepa will replace the Belgian in London.

Kepa is going to sleep in Madrid tonight and wait for updates. Once everything has been confirmed, Kepa will travel to London and sign his contract with Maurizio Sarri's team. Chelsea lost against Manchester City in the Community Shield last Sunday. Sarri said that he'd talk with Courtois about his future after the match. Chelsea are now set to deposit the €80m with LaLiga to free up Kepa to join their club.
