It might appear like a joke but it isn't: Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered to Barça this summer. This is the information Guillem Balague revealed on 'BBC Radio 5 Live Sport'.
Cristiano had hoped to lead Juventus to Champions League glory but despite his own record-breaking season, 'The Oldy Lady' crashed out of the competition on away goals to Lyon. One season was apparently enough and now he's looking for a new challenge.
The Portuguese superstar's agent, Jorge Mendes, has been speaking to many elite clubs to see if they would be interested in the 34-year-old. Barça were mentioned, as well his former club Real Madrid, PSG and even a shock switch to the MLS.
Balagué claims the biggest hurdle to finding a new side is the fact Cristiano doesn't want to take a wage cut from the €23m-per-season he currently earns. "I don't know if anyone would be able to pay that now."
It still seems highly unlikely that Cristiano and Leo Messi would play for the same team but in football, as we saw yesterday between Atalanta and PSG, anything can happen.
