The former Arsenal and Barcelona forward could be presented on Monday

Thierry Henry will take charge of Ligue 1 side Monaco from Monday, according to L'Equipe, replacing Leonardo Jardim.

Henry emerged as the favourite for the job this week. Until now he has been Roberto Martinez's No.2 with Belgium and he will continue to fulfill that role on Friday against Switzerland.

However, he already has Monaco in mind and is beginning to work on who will join him, with Julien Stephan, currently coach of Rennes' reserve team, expected to be on his staff.

Henry began his professional career at Monaco, before moving to Juventus, Arsenal and Barcelona, where he played between 2007 and 2010.

He ended his career with New York Red Bulls and in 2014 began working in television before joining Martinez at Belgium.
