PSG midfielder Verratti arrested for drink driving in Paris
The Italian was more than two times over the legal limit
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti was arrested this week for drink driving, according to the French newspaper L'Equipe.
A police source said that Verratti, 25, was detained on Tuesday night into Wednesday when his blood-alcohol level (0.49 mg/l) was double what is allowed by the law (0.25 mg/l).
The Italy international risks having his driving licence taken off him for a long time.
Nicknamed the Little Owl, Verratti has made a name for himself as a lover of the Paris night life, falling short of the standards demanded by top level players.
L'Equipe add that he will be fined by PSG, who have already asked him to apologise.
