The French club want to renew him and Mbappe but may have to sell one
PSG have complicated times ahead. They want to renew the contracts of their two big stars, Neymar Junior and Kylian Mbappe, but they might not have enough financial muscle to seal both operations.
That could lead the French side to opt for Mbappe, leaving behind Neymar, who could end up with the highest bidder, per L’Equipe.
The Parisians have opened contact with Neymar’s people to speak about his renewal, but he doesn’t see his future clearly. He has a contract until June 2022, with a salary of 24 million euros net per season, one of the higher in Europe.
Leonardo knows the only way to keep Mbappe is on a huge deal, or else Real Madrid will have him. Neymar is leaning towards staying at PSG but if the Mbappe operation takes up their financial focus he may be sold.
