The French forward will not leave this summer or sign a contract renewal

Kylian Mbappe will not leave PSG at the end of the season. The player and his people have taken some decisions to stop rumours surging around his future. The first and most important of these is confirming to PSG he will complete his contract, which expires on June 30, 2022. The second is to guarantee to the Qatari owners that he has not, to this day, sealed any agreement to go elsewhere after that.

Clear messages amid interest from Chelsea, Man United and, above all, Real Madrid. He is not accepting contract renewal offers with the French giants.

Mbappe, 22, is already one of football’s great stars. He and his agents, and parents Wilfried and Fayza, have decided now is not the time to force a big money exit. He thinks his time in Paris has not yet run its course and will not decide his future until halfway through next season at least.

Mbappe is open to a change of scene in 2022 and after that, we’ll see whether he picks the Premier League or La Liga.

Kylian has admitted that he likes Madrid. For Zidane in part, it’s true, but that’s not an indispensable condition of him moving there if the offer works in sporting and economic terms.

Mbappe and his family have not shut the door to anything, though, and only time will tell.
