UEFA have confirmed that the investigation will start again

The investiagtion into Paris Saint-Germain's spending will be re-opened after they were initially cleared of breaching Financial Fair Play rules, UEFA confirmed on Tuesday.

"In light of the decision of the CFCB chief investigator to close the investigation into PSG, the chairman of the CFCB has decided to send this decision for review by the adjudicatory chamber," UEFA said in a statement.

And in the same statement, they added that "this announcement does not pre-judge in any way the result of the review to be conducted by the adjudicatory chamber of the CFCB," it added.

On June 13, the CFCB decided to close without santion the investiagtion open against PSG stating they had an "acceptable deviation for the financial years ending in 2015, 2016 and 2017."

However, the initial statement did add: "The financial impact of transfer activities as from the 2017 summer -- up to and including the upcoming transfer window -- and compliance with the break-even requirement for the 2018 financial year will remain under close scrutiny and will be thoroughly looked at in the coming weeks."

PSG invested more than 400 million euros on players in the summer od 2017 when they signed Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

To balance their books, they now need to sell at least 60 million euros worth of players, according to the French newspaper L'Equipe.
