The Paris outfit lost 4-2 against Chambly, who play in France's third division. Jese, Weah and Rabiot also made appearances in the match

Thomas Tuchel's debut in the PSG dugout didn't exactly go to plan. PSG lost 4-2 against lowly Chambly, who compete in France's third division. The Paris side used a lot of their academy players as the vast majority of their first team squad are involved, or have been involved, at the World Cup in Russia and were unavailable.

However Adrien Rabiot, who is being closely followed by Barcelona, did appear for PSG. Football icon George Weah's son, Timothy, also played as did former Real Madrid player Jese Rodriguez. Gianluigi Buffon started the game and conceded all four goals. One of them came from the penalty spot after Buffon brought down an opposition player in the area. Not the debut Buffon dreamed of.

It's true that too much shouldn't be read into what was PSG's first preseason match and the German coach still doesn't have all his main weapons at his disposal. Yet this defeat wasn't expected and less so when the likes of Rabiot and Buffon were involved.
